Requirements

  • Successfully completed an accredited post-secondary education program in surgical technology.
  • Demonstrate a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service, thriving in a team environment, and possessing strong communication skills.
  • Exhibit a strong dedication to excellence across all facets of the role, contributing to a positive work environment.
  • Display a commitment to continuous learning and professional development, staying abreast of advances in surgical technology, techniques, and best practices.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider: Required within 6 months of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified as a Surgical Technologist (CST) by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Uphold our unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional care and treatment to our patients.
  • Adhere rigorously to aseptic technique guidelines during procedures, ensuring a sterile environment that prioritizes patient safety and optimizes surgical outcomes.
  • Set up and organize the surgical environment before and after procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are readily available.
  • Provide direct assistance to surgeons during procedures, anticipating their needs and ensuring a smooth and efficient operation.
  • Handle and pass instruments and supplies to the surgical team, maintaining proper sterile technique.
  • Participate in patient preparation activities, ensuring they are comfortable and informed before entering the operating room.
  • Assist in the maintenance and care of surgical instruments and equipment, contributing to their proper functioning and longevity.
  • Work collaboratively to implement and adhere to safety protocols, contributing to a secure and effective surgical environment.
