About The Position

Fairview has an immediate opening for a Surgical Technologist - Vascular to support the Operating Room at our St. John's Hospital located in Maplewood, MN. We’re offering a $6000 sign-on bonus along with a generous relocation bonus up to $5,000! The Vascular Surg Tech will receive tier 2 augmented pay for vascular specialized skill set. As a Surgical Technologist, you’ll assist in surgical procedures by preparing the operating room, arranging, and passing instruments to surgeons, and ensuring a sterile environment under the guidance of a Registered Nurse. You’ll play a crucial role in supporting the surgical team and maintaining the safety and efficiency of the operating room. Vascular Specialty - The position will require the surgical tech to orient to all surgical specialties, but the Tier 2 augmentation comes into play with the added vascular/endovascular skillset and specialized call. The expectation for the Surgical Technologist - Vascular is that the individual can maintain skill in all areas and could be utilized to staff cases outside of vascular (when there are no vascular cases on the grid or other vascular team members are staffing the vascular rooms), but the primary call requirements will be strictly vascular. The call requirements are quite high due to the small size of the vascular team. Looking for someone with vascular background, someone who is truly passionate about vascular surgery. Experience managing wires for endovascular surgery is also a plus. Schedule: This position will be working 0.8 FTE (64 hours every two weeks). The shift length will be 8 hours on the day/evening shift. This position will also work rotating weekends, call and holiday requirements as well. Call requirements are higher than a general tech due to size of vascular team.
