About The Position

Langhorne Surgery Center provides high-quality, patient-centered care in a modern outpatient surgical setting. Our team supports a collaborative environment focused on clinical excellence, patient safety, and positive surgical outcomes. We are seeking a Surgical Technologist (Scrub Tech) to support pain management and ophthalmology procedures at our busy surgery center. This role is responsible for preparing the operating room, maintaining a sterile environment, and assisting the surgical team throughout procedures.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED
Current BLS certification
At least 1 year of healthcare experience
Strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment

Nice To Haves

At least 2 years of operating room experience
Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential, where applicable

Responsibilities

Prepare and organize instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies for procedures.
Maintain the sterile field and follow infection prevention protocols.
Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons and assist the surgical team as needed.
Prepare and position patients for surgery.
Perform instrument and sponge counts before and after procedures.
Clean, sterilize, and restock equipment and operating rooms between cases.
Monitor surgical equipment and ensure supplies are available.
Maintain accurate procedure documentation and communicate patient-related information to the nursing team.
Follow facility policies, safety standards, and required training guidelines.
