About The Position
This role is for a Surgical Technologist in Pediatric Endoscopy at Ascension Dell Children's Hospital in Austin, TX. The primary responsibility is to facilitate the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures by preparing the operating suite, handing instruments and supplies to the surgeon, assisting with patient preparation and positioning, maintaining instruments, and assisting with hemostasis during surgery.
Requirements
- BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate'sdegree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surgical operating suite with sterile and non-sterile instruments and supplies.
- Hand required and requested instruments and supplies to surgeon during surgery.
- Assist with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.
- Maintain instruments in an organized manner and monitors and tracks instruments counts throughout procedures.
- Assist surgeons provision of hemostasis during surgery.
