About The Position

As a member of the healthcare team, this role collaborates with the surgical team to provide patient care, ensuring patient goals are met and the hospital's mission is carried out. The position is located at Froedtert Menomonee Falls Hospital and is an on-site role with a full-time commitment of 40 hours per week, typically scheduled as four 10-hour shifts from 8:00 am to 6:30 pm. Occasional early PM shifts may be required with advance notice to cover colleagues' paid time off. The role also involves a weeknight, weekend, and holiday on-call rotation. Orientation will include a 30-day rotation on the PM shift.

Requirements

• A minimum of 1 year of Surgical experience is required.
• Experience can come in any combination in a role as a Surgical Technologist or Surgical Technician.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Post high school education, certification or diploma required.
• Completion of a Surgical Technologist program, completion of Military Operating Room Specialist course or the Froedtert Health sponsored apprentice II program required.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Surgical Technologist Level 3 staff, or above, with a date of hire or adjusted date of hire prior to 8/1/2020 are not required to be certified, as long as they meet the criteria in the job description.
