Join our Scripps operating room team as a Surgical Tech where you will ensure OR rooms are ready for surgery, including all case-specific supplies and equipment are sterile and ready for use. You will monitor the sterile field throughout procedure, scrub for cases, and anticipate the needs of the physician and operating team. You will also take initiative to utilize appropriate support services to resolve issues, position and transport patients as well as organize room cleanup and ensure efficient room turnover, including decontaminating equipment as necessary.

Requirements

  • 1 year of recent experience as a Surgical Technologist or completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist training program.
  • Current BLS from the American Heart Association
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Able to multi-task and work well in a team environment.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Able work well in a fast-paced, high stress environment.

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years’ experience in the main OR
  • CST Certification
  • Trauma experience

Responsibilities

  • Ensure OR rooms are ready for surgery, including all case-specific supplies and equipment are sterile and ready for use.
