About The Position

Children’s Wisconsin - Surgicenter is an outpatient surgery center that offers the latest technology and performs a wide variety of outpatient surgical procedures at a lower cost than area hospitals. We are seeking individuals dedicated to helping us achieve our vision of the healthiest kids in the country. This role functions as a member of the surgical team, promoting safe patient care, preparing for surgical procedures, managing the sterile field, and assisting the surgeon by passing instruments/equipment and anticipating needs during surgical procedures. The Surgical Technologist will understand and supply instrumentation and equipment needs from neonatal to adult patients, demonstrate advanced knowledge and proficient practice in the first scrub role for most surgical procedures, and assist with the orientation of new personnel in the surgical technologist role.

Requirements

  • Completion of a surgical technologist program
  • 2 years of surgical technologist experience
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Responsibilities

  • Function as a member of the surgical team who promotes safe patient care
