About The Position
The Surgical Technologist II performs various tasks supporting perioperative services within the Franciscan team. This position assists multiple disciplines within the operating room by preparing patients and equipment for procedures, and maintaining environmental standards. This position, also, provides technical assistance to surgeons by anticipating procedures and equipment. The Surgical Technologist measures and passes medications, hemostatic agents, and other solutions.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED Required
- 1 year Surgery required
- Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association within 90 Days Required
- NBSTSA Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Required
Responsibilities
- Assists multiple disciplines within the operating room by preparing patients and equipment for procedures, and maintaining environmental standards.
- Provides technical assistance to surgeons by anticipating procedures and equipment.
- Measures and passes medications, hemostatic agents, and other solutions.
