About The Position

Under direct supervision, the Surgical Technologist II supports surgical procedures by preparing the operating room, managing surgical instruments and supplies, and assisting the surgical team. Key responsibilities include preoperative patient preparation, maintaining sterile fields, ensuring proper sterilization of instruments, inventory management, and providing basic patient care. The position requires collaboration with nursing staff, updating surgeon preference lists, orienting new technologists, and contributing to the development of departmental policies and procedures, all while strictly adhering to established protocols to promote efficient and safe surgical operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Completion of a Surgical Technologist training program
  • 2 years’ experience (in lieu of training program)
  • CPR certification
