About The Position

Facilitates the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures. Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients. Must maintain requirements dictated in clinical ladder. Passes instruments to physician during surgery. Continually accounts for number and location of instruments and supplies during surgery. Prepares surgical operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment and supplies. Ensures good working order of equipment and instruments. Receives and processes specimens for delivery to the laboratory.

Requirements

Accredited Program: Surgical Technologist (Required)
BLS American Heart E-Card (BLS AHA ECARD) - American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART), BLS Cert American Heart_non ecard (BLS AHA) - American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART), BLS Certification Grace (BLS GRACE) - Employee Grace Period for Essential Credential (GRACE), BLS Cert Red Cross (BLS RC) - Red Cross (RED CROSS)
One (1) year of experience required.
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision with a positive disposition.
Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Nice To Haves

Certified Surgical Technologist certification (CST or TS-C) is preferred.
