About The Position

ChristianaCare is actively seeking Surgical Technologists for our Operating Room/Perioperative Per Diem Team. We are looking for individuals who are adaptable and ready to work at both Christiana Hospital, Christiana Surgery Center, and Wilmington Hospitals as required for operational needs. Our per diem Surgical Techs serve in various operating rooms at both the Newark and Wilmington campuses. Wilmington Hospital and Christiana Hospital have achieved Magnet Status! Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program for any employee hired after 2009.
A minimum of 3 year or more years of experience as a Surgical Technologist.
BLS Certification.

Nice To Haves

BCLS certification.
Certification by an approved certification body i.e. the Association of Surgical Technologists (AST) and/or the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) (CST).

Responsibilities

Serve in various operating rooms at both the Newark and Wilmington campuses.
Commit to 84-hour commitments in 4-week blocks.
Attend New Employee Orientation, and training.
Work at Christiana Hospital, Christiana Surgery Center, and Wilmington Hospitals as required for operational needs.
