About The Position

Enloe Health is a Level II Trauma Center located in beautiful Northern California, offering a full array of medical services with a mission to elevate the health of the communities served. The Surgical Technologist I functions as a team member during the preoperative, intra-operative and postoperative phases of the surgical procedure. Requirements

  • One (1) year recent hospital experience in the capacity of a Surgical Technologist OR two years recent surgery center experience in the capacity of a Surgical Tech OR Graduate of an accredited Operation Room Technician course OR has successfully completed Enloe Medical Center’s hospital based Surgical Technologist Training Program OR a current Enloe employee who has applied and been accepted into the Surgical Tech Trainee Program
  • Current CPR recognition
  • Must demonstrate technical competence, professional judgment and sensitivity for the patient and family in crisis
  • Must be able to interact professionally and effectively communicate with physicians, staff, patients, and public
  • Must have the basic skills appropriate to the role of the Surgical Technologist
  • Must have the ability to work within a decentralized model of patient care delivery
  • Must have the ability to organize, prioritize and problem solve efficiently
  • Must have the ability to work in a demanding environment while remaining calm, efficient and focused
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Must have the ability and willingness to actively participate in continuing education programs, unit based QI task forces and committees
  • Must be able to meet competency requirements
  • Must have the ability to perform the essential functions of the job
