Join us and become part of a trusted network committed to excellence in orthopedic care. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist (Scrub Tech) to join our surgical team. In this role, you will assist in operative procedures by ensuring proper setup, instrument handling, and maintenance of a sterile environment to support optimal surgical outcomes. This position will include call, holidays and weekends. Shift will be 3 12 hours (6:45 am to 7:15 pm).
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program
- Current Surgical Technologist license in the State of Virginia
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

Responsibilities
- Serve as the scrub technologist during surgical and invasive procedures.
- Assemble, prepare, and organize surgical instruments and supplies.
- Ensure proper sterile technique and field maintenance at all times.
- Assist with sterile draping and provide instruments to the surgical team.
- Clean and prepare instruments for decontamination and transport.
- Support turnover and setup of operating rooms between procedures.
- Participate in ongoing education (10 contact hours annually) and skills validation.
- Adhere to site, side, and level verification protocols during procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with surgical and perioperative staff.
- Provide excellent customer service and uphold patient privacy standards.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and team meetings.
- Comply with all OSHA, AAAHC, and internal policies and standards.
