Surgical Technician - PRN

The NeuroMedical Center is seeking a PRN Surgical Technician to join our Pain Management Department. The Surgical Technologist plays a vital role in the operating room by assisting physicians during procedures and ensuring a safe, sterile, and efficient environment. This position is responsible for preparing surgical instruments and equipment, supporting patient care, and maintaining the highest clinical standards.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology or Operating Room Technician program, or equivalent experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification required (American Heart Association preferred)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of sterile techniques and surgical procedures
Nice To Haves
- Certification in Surgical Technology (CST) preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of surgical or operating room experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform scrub technician duties during procedures
- Prepare and maintain sterile fields in accordance with established protocols
- Assist physicians by anticipating needs during procedures
- Prepare operating rooms with necessary instruments, equipment, and supplies
- Assist with patient preparation, including skin prep and draping
- Operate and maintain sterilization equipment, including autoclaves and cleaning systems
- Ensure proper handling, cleaning, and storage of surgical instruments
- Support patient safety and uphold infection control standards at all times
