About The Position

The Elliot 1 Day Surgery Center is a state-of-the-art facility located at the Elliot Hospital in Manchester, New Hampshire. It's designed to provide minimally invasive surgical procedures with the highest level of quality care and patient satisfaction. The surgery center offers a wide range of services including laparoscopic surgery, endoscopy, urology, and gynecology. Patients can expect the latest technologies and top-level expertise from skilled surgeons and staff. The center also offers pre-surgical testing, post-operative care, and education to ensure a smooth transition back to normal activities. The Elliot 1 Day Surgery Center is currently looking for a highly-skilled Surgical Technician to join their team. As a surgical technician at the surgery center, you would be responsible for preparing operating rooms and equipment before, during, and after procedures. You would also assist surgeons with various tasks in the operating room such as passing instruments, holding retractors, and suctioning. Additionally, you would be responsible for sterilizing equipment and instruments, preparing supplies, and transporting patients to the operating room.

Requirements

• High School diploma required.
• Graduate or student of a formal Surgical Technician program or education/training in the military.
• Surgical Technician certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• Medical Technician Certification from the State of New Hampshire required unless other current NH state license is held.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Hospital Operating Room or ASC preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms and equipment before, during, and after procedures
• Assist surgeons by passing instruments, holding retractors, and suctioning
• Sterilize equipment and instruments, prepare supplies, and transport patients to the operating room as needed.
• Monitor vital signs of patient under surgery as directed by medical staff
