About The Position

The Surgical Technician in the Operating Room ensures quality patient care, safety, and advocacy through critical thinking, anticipation and management of case specific needs, under direct supervision of the RN. This role is responsible for ensuring complete, accurate and timely care, cleanliness and management of instruments, equipment and supplies. The Surgical Technician communicates to the team, co-workers and patients in an effective, positive and professional manner. They take personal responsibility and initiative for performance, professional growth and development, and demonstrate cost containment activities of instruments and inventory.

Requirements

  • Graduation from a Surgical Technology program.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in specialty area preferred.
