About The Position

Saline Memorial Hospital is seeking a Surgical Technician for their Operating Room. This PRN position requires weekend availability. The role is vital in preparing the surgical suite, assisting physicians during surgery, and ensuring patient safety and care. Requirements

• OR experience required
• Minimum of 6 months prior experience in another facility.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Graduate of a surgical technology program preferred
• BCLS preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepares the surgical suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment, and supplies; ensures equipment and instruments are in good working order.
• Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning, and draping patients.
• Passes instruments to physicians during surgery and continually accounts for number and location of instruments and supplies.
• Receives and processes specimens for delivery to the laboratory.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts/units as needed.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
