About The Position

The Surgical Technician is responsible for ensuring quality patient care, safety, and advocacy through critical thinking, anticipation and management of case specific needs, under the direct supervision of the RN. This role also ensures complete, accurate, and timely care, cleanliness, and management of instruments, equipment, and supplies. The Surgical Technician communicates effectively with the team, co-workers, and patients in a positive and professional manner, takes personal responsibility for performance and professional growth, and demonstrates cost containment activities of instruments and inventory.

Requirements

• Graduation from a Surgical Technology program or from an accredited school of Nursing.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required.
• Functions effectively under stressful and difficult situations
• Resilient and flexible in a changing environment

• Technology/informatics skills
• Practice Innovation

Nice To Haves

• Certification in specialty area preferred.
