Requirements

Certification as a surgical technologist from an accredited program.
Proven experience working as a surgical technician in a healthcare setting.
In-depth knowledge of surgical procedures, instruments, and equipment.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to upholding the highest standards of patient care and safety.

Responsibilities

Preparing the operating room for surgical procedures, ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are available and properly sterilized.
Assisting the surgical team during procedures by passing instruments, holding retractors, and anticipating the needs of the surgeon.
Maintaining a sterile field throughout the surgical process and adhering to aseptic techniques to prevent infections.
Handling and disposing of surgical specimens in accordance with established protocols.
Collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure the safety and comfort of patients before, during, and after surgery.
Participating in the maintenance and troubleshooting of surgical equipment and instruments.
