About The Position
This role is for a Surgical Technician in the Neuro/Spine department at the Lucas Family Brain and Spine Center in Indianapolis, IN. The position is full-time, days. The Surgical Technician will be responsible for maintaining a clean, sterile, and well-stocked surgical environment, performing daily terminal OR cleaning and equipment decontamination, transporting supplies/equipment, managing inventory, and disposing of hazardous waste per policy. They will also assist with patient positioning, lifting, and transport as directed.
Requirements
- High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) preferred.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean, sterile, and well-stocked surgical environment.
- Perform daily terminal OR cleaning and equipment decontamination.
- Transport supplies/equipment, manage inventory, and dispose of hazardous waste per policy.
- Assist with patient positioning, lifting, and transport as directed.
