About The Position

The Surgical Technician II functions as a member of the patient care team, under the direction and supervision of the physician and/or registered nurse. This position provides technical skills in the role of the surgical scrub before, during and after operative procedures, by anticipating needs, preparing, organizing and troubleshooting equipment, instruments, and supplies as required for various surgical procedures. Assists the physician(s) and nursing staff to provide optimal patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures, utilizing resources efficiently, communicating effectively, and is proficient in scrubbing Level 6 procedures and below. Requirements

  • Associate's Degree Preferred – graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program and 1-2 years experience Surgical Technologist experience required or HS diploma or equivalent Required and 3-5 years experience Surgical Technologist experience required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required Upon Hire

Nice To Haves

  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Preferred
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Preferred
