The Surgical Technician II works in collaboration with the Registered Nurses to provide care of the surgical patient in the OR suite.

Requirements

Graduate from a surgical technology program which is CAAHEP or ABHES accredited
BLS
3+ years of surgical technician experience
Mastery of advanced Surgical Technician skills and extensive knowledge of at least one specialty service
Basic computer skills and experience

Nice To Haves

CST
Ambulatory Surgery Center or hospital experience
Experience in multi-specialty services

Responsibilities

Prepares the instruments for each surgical procedure
Scrubs in on surgical cases to prepare instruments and assists the surgeon
Assists in room turn over and are responsible for instrument decontamination
Contributes to the orientation of new surgical technicians
Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development as it relates to specific age groups
This position works as needed to provide staffing for the ASC OR
This position serves the following age groups: Infant, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric
