About The Position
The Surgical Technician prepares and assists surgical procedures during the intraoperative phase of the perioperative process.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program
- Certified Surgical Technologist
- BLS certification (or obtained within 3 months of employment)
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of one-year experience as a Surgical Technologist in an acute care hospital operating room
- Pediatric and/or orthopaedic experience
Responsibilities
- Responsible for providing for and anticipating the surgeons’ needs during a procedure while maintaining the sterile field, adhering to principles of aseptic technique, and ensuring safety with all counted items.
- Assists preparation for procedures by assisting with completion, wrapping, and processing of instruments in Sterile Processing.
