The Surgery Dept at Dignity Health Chandler Regional Medical Center is a dynamic environment where you can pursue a highly challenging and rewarding career. Our new tower has provided additional surgery suites with the latest technology, providing patients with a wide range of surgical/procedural experience. Level One Trauma Center, 24/7 Operational hours, 13 Surgical Suites, 1 Cysto Suite, 1:1 Nurse Ratio, Multi-Specialty: Trauma Neuro Robotics Orthopedics General GYN Urology Plastics and Reconstruction. As our Surgical Tech at CRMC, we highly value your experience in surgical procedures and sterilization. To be successful in this role, you should have 4 years of experience in a similar role, and be a graduate in surgical technology from an accredited school, and a strong understanding of sterilization techniques. You'll be instrumental in preparing the operating room for a variety of surgeries. We recognize that we can't operate without you. The operating room (OR) operates as a team, and every member plays a crucial role that directly impacts the patient's outcome. As a Surgical Tech, your adaptability and enthusiasm to work with the team are key to taking patients from a diseased process to a healing process. Your role is not just important; it's integral to our success. Your expertise in surgical procedures and sterilization directly contributes to the positive outcomes of our patients, making you a valued and indispensable part of our team.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate General Studies, upon hire or High School GED General Studies, upon hire
  • Six (6) months on the job related experience or surgical program graduate and less than 2 years surgical technologist clinical experience
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire

Nice To Haves

  • 4 years of experience in a similar role
  • Graduate in surgical technology from an accredited school
  • Strong understanding of sterilization techniques

Responsibilities

  • Prepare the operating room for assigned surgical procedures with proper instrumentation and sterilization
  • Navigate the nuances of surgical procedures and surgeons you'll be supporting
  • Adapt to the needs of emergencies
  • Provide clean-up and turnover of the operating room to prepare for the next patient
