As our Surgical Tech, you will help prepare the operating room and surgical team so they can successfully perform a variety of surgical procedures for patients.Every day you will set up surgical equipment and instruments, assist the surgical team, and ensure a sterile environment. You will be expected to adapt quickly, collaborate effectively within the OR team, and contribute directly to the patient's healing process.To be successful in this role, you must possess adaptability, a strong team-player mindset, and enthusiasm for supporting complex surgical procedures.

Requirements

  • Technical School Graduate from an accredited surgical technology program and Experience with varied high tech surgical equipment., upon hire
  • Certified Surgical Technologist, upon hire or
  • Technologist in Surgery-Certified, upon hire and
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire

Responsibilities

  • Promotes the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
  • Functions as a scrub person during operative and other invasive procedures by:Assembling supplies and equipment required for the procedure;Preparing and organizing sterile supplies and instruments for the procedure;Performing accounting procedures in concert with the RN circulator;Assisting with placement of sterile drapes;Providing instruments and supplies to the surgical team during the procedure;Maintaining an organized sterile field;Ensuring sterility of the field and taking corrective actions as needed; andPreparing sterile dressings.
  • Cleans and prepares surgical instruments for processing and transports them to the decontamination areas.
  • Assists with post procedure cleaning of the operative or other invasive procedure room and preparation of room for subsequent patients.
  • Participates in ongoing educational and competency verification activities applicable to scrub person activities.
  • Maintain privacy and confidentiality of individuals and health information.
