About The Position

This role is for a Surgical Tech in the Labor and Delivery specialty at Ascension St. Agnes Hospital in Baltimore, MD. The position involves facilitating surgical procedures, preparing the operating suite, assisting surgeons with instruments and supplies, and managing patient preparation and positioning. The schedule is rotating and PRN, with a salary range of $35.00 - $36.00 per hour.

Requirements

Nurse Aide credentialed from the Maryland Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
2 years experience in Labor and Delivery

Nice To Haves

BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Responsibilities

Facilitate the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures.
Prepare surgical operating suite with sterile and non-sterile instruments and supplies.
Hand required and requested instruments and supplies to surgeon during surgery.
Assist with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.
Maintain instruments in an organized manner and monitor and track instruments counts throughout procedures.
