About The Position

Under the guidance and supervision of a registered nurse, the Surgical Technician is responsible for surgical case preparation, including the allocation of appropriate surgical supplies and instrumentation, and intraoperative organization of the sterile field. They facilitate the surgeons' needs by passing the appropriate sutures and instrumentation. Additionally, this position assists with the terminal cleaning of the surgical suite/instrumentation after the procedure has ended. This role also encompasses advanced skills through advanced training and knowledge to actively participate in optimal patient care and improved perioperative performance.

Requirements

Graduate from Surgical Tech Program with 2 years experience as an Surgical Tech
Complete competencies for all General Service Line and 50% of Advance Service Lines
Complete Environmental Orientation within 30 days of hire
Complete Unit Specific competency within 90 days of hire
National Certified Surgical Technologist - National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting upon hire
National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
Surgical Tech: 2 years of experience as a Surgical Tech
Senior Surgical Tech: 3 years of experience as a Surgical Tech
Lead Surgical Tech: 5 years of experience as a Surgical Tech

Responsibilities
