About The Position

Part Time weekends: 24 hours, Saturday & Sunday 7a-7p at WDH in Dover, NH. Hiring new grads, Surg Techs with experience and FA's. $10K Sign on Bonus! Career ladder for Surg Techs. May help set up the operating room, prepare and transport patients for surgery, adjust lights and equipment, pass instruments and other supplies to surgeons and surgeons' assistants, hold retractors, cut sutures, and help count sponges, needles, supplies, and instruments.

Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent required
Certified Surgical First Assistant [CSFA (NBSTSA)] - National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) preferred
Certified Surgical Technologist [CST] - National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) preferred
NH Medical Tech license required
Basic Life Support (BLS) required
Experience as a surgical technologist in an acute care setting 2-3 years preferred
Four (4) years experience as a surgical technologist in an acute care setting preferred
committee and leadership experience 3-5 years preferred
Knowledge of SPD Sterile Room.
Ability to multitask, can work in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Advanced knowledge of sterile processing procedures and policies.
Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items is required.

Responsibilities

Participates in time-out procedures.
Attainment of extra supplies and equipment as needed.
Sets up equipment independently.
Participates as an active member of the Patient Care Team.
Monitor and continually assess operating room conditions, including patient and surgical team needs.
Prepare patients for surgery, including positioning patients on the operating table and covering them with sterile surgical drapes to prevent exposure.
Knowledge of SPD Sterile Room.
