About The Position
This is a full-time (80 hrs/pp, 1.0 FTE) position where the Surgical Technician performs various tasks before, during, and after surgery to assist the surgical team. This role also involves duties of a Central Supply Technician, including cleaning, sterilizing, and assembling hospital equipment, supplies, and instruments.
Requirements
- One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Requires registration as a Surgical Technologist in Washington State.
- Must have BLS upon time of hire or within 30 days of employment.

- Previous experience in central supply preferred.
Responsibilities
- Places equipment and supplies in operating room and arranges instruments, according to instructions.
- Assists team members to place and position patient on table.
- Hands instruments and supplies to surgeon, holds retractors, cuts sutures, and performs other tasks as directed by surgeon during operation.
- Puts dressings on patient following surgery.
- Counts sponges, needles, and instruments before and after operation.
- Washes and sterilizes equipment, using germicides and sterilizers.
- Cleans operating room.
- Cleans, sterilizes and assembles hospital equipment, supplies and instruments according to prescribed procedures and techniques.
- Stores prepared articles and supplies in designated areas.
