Surgical Tech, Endoscopy Lab, Full Time, First Shift
About The Position
The Surgical Tech prepares the operating room and assists the physician during surgery. The role assists with patient care according to the medical plan of care established by SMG, SRH, and applicable nursing policies, procedures, protocols, and standards of care. The Surgical Tech provides direct assistant care and wound closure as directed by the physician, coordinates and delegates care with other professionals and ancillary personnel, and assists with patient care during and after surgery as directed by the physician. The role also communicates patient needs, helps resolve work-related issues, and serves as an engaged team member and patient advocate in the OR or office setting. Additional duties may be assigned by surgeons, the Practice Manager, and the Department Director. The position is full time, first shift, Monday through Friday, with call. Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited educational program for Surgical Technicians.
- Hold and maintain current licensure.
- Have clinical expertise, leadership ability, and organizational ability.
- Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with others.
- Be self-motivated and a team player.
