About The Position

This role is for a Surgical Tech in a hospital/inpatient setting. The primary responsibilities include meticulous counting of surgical supplies, ensuring equipment functionality, assisting the surgical team, sterilizing instruments, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the operating room.

Requirements

• Ability to count sponges, rags, needles, and instruments accurately.
• Knowledge of proper operation of surgical equipment (lights, suction machines).
• Skill in assisting surgical teams with gowning and gloving.
• Proficiency in washing and sterilizing medical instruments and equipment.
• Ability to clean, organize, and restock operating rooms.

Responsibilities

• Count sponges, rags, needles, and instruments before, during, and after procedures.
• Ensure proper operation of equipment, such as lights and suction machines.
• Assist the surgical team with scrubbing in and putting on gloves and masks.
• Wash and sterilize all medical instruments and equipment following surgeries.
• Clean, organize and restock the operating room after surgical procedures.
