About The Position

This Certified OR Surgical Technologist position supports surgical services within a high-volume operating room environment. The technologist follows a two-week scheduling pattern and assists the RN circulator and surgical team with case setup, intraoperative support, and room turnover duties. When not scrubbed in cases, the CST supports overall unit workflow, including preparation and breakdown of surgical suites. The role requires flexibility within rotating shifts and adherence to hospital surgical standards in a fast-paced, large teaching hospital setting.

Requirements

• Active NBSTSA certification
• Current AHA BLS
• A minimum of one year of recent operating room experience
• Recent OB experience in a busy, large (500+ bed) teaching hospital
• Fully competent scrubbing C-sections and related gynecologic procedures
• Complete and detailed work history must be submitted, including explanations for employment gaps over 90 days.
• Reliable transportation
