About The Position
This is a Part-time PRN position for a Surgical Tech at Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center - Surgery Room. The role is not benefits eligible and has 0 hours per week. The pay range is $25.30 - $37.95. The position requires graduation from a Surgical Technology program or an accredited school of Nursing, and Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification. Certification in a specialty area is preferred.
Requirements
- Graduation from a Surgical Technology program or from an accredited school of Nursing.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required.

Responsibilities
- Ensures quality patient care, safety, and advocacy through critical thinking, anticipation and management of case specific needs, under direct supervision of the RN.
- Ensures complete, accurate and timely care, cleanliness and management of instruments, equipment and supplies.
- Communicates to the team, co-workers and patients in an effective, positive and professional manner. Demonstrates effective, positive, professional manners while exercising verbal and nonverbal communication to the multidisciplinary team, co-workers, and patients.
- Takes personal responsibility and initiative for performance, professional growth and development.
- Demonstrates cost containment activities of instruments and inventory.
