About The Position

This position is a non-licensed/certified staff member authorized to transport and/or stock medications to meet specified essential job duties. Under the direction of the Registered Professional Nurse, the LDRP Surgical Technician is responsible for functioning in a scrub role for Cesarean Sections, tubal sterilizations, or any operative procedures performed in the obstetrical operating rooms including adhering to sponge, sharp, and instrument counts standards and maintaining honest operating room conscience. Also responsible for LDRP Technician duties as delegated by charge nurse or managers. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission and values. This position is a on-licensed/certified staff memeber authorized to transport and/or stock medications to meet specified essential job duties. This includes staff who do not have the authority to prescribe,dispense and/or administer medications.

Requirements

High School or equivalent
1 to 2 years experience preferred

Nice To Haves

Graduate of an accredited Surgical Tech School

Responsibilities

Functioning in a scrub role for Cesarean Sections, tubal sterilizations, or any operative procedures performed in the obstetrical operating rooms.
