About The Position

Surgical Technologists are allied health professionals, who are an integral part of the team of practitioners providing surgical care to patients. The surgical technologist handles the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure. He/she has an understanding of the procedure and anticipates the need of the surgeon. He/she is constantly on vigil for maintenance of the sterile field. The surgical technologist is able to function independently in the scrub and as a circulator under the supervision of the RN.

Requirements

• Ability to function as a circulator under the supervision of the RN
• Understanding of surgical procedures
• Ability to anticipate surgeon's needs
• Vigilance for maintenance of the sterile field
