About The Position

This unit is a close-knit, highly engaged team that values teamwork, collaboration, and delivering high-quality patient care. As part of the healthcare team, this role collaborates closely with the surgical team to provide safe, patient-centered care, ensure individual patient goals are met, and support the overall mission of the hospital. The Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin regional health network is a partnership between Froedtert Health and the Medical College of Wisconsin supporting a shared mission of patient care, innovation, medical research and education. Our health network operates eastern Wisconsin's only academic medical center and adult Level I Trauma center engaged in thousands of clinical trials and studies. The Froedtert & MCW health network, which includes ten hospitals, nearly 2,000 physicians and more than 45 health centers and clinics draw patients from throughout the Midwest and the nation.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 1 year of Surgical experience is required.
  • Experience can come in any combination in a role as a Surgical Technologist or Surgical Technician.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Post high school education, certification or diploma required.
  • Completion of a Surgical Technologist program, completion of Military Operating Room Specialist course or the Froedtert Health sponsored apprentice II program required.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
