About The Position

Under the direction of the Director of Surgical Services and a Registered Nurse, the Surgical Technologist works intra-operatively in the preparation and handling of supplies and equipment to maintain a safe and therapeutic surgeon environment for the patients. The Surgical Technologist will perform as a team member for the common good of the patient and take responsibility for personal action.

Requirements

• High school graduate or Certification from national association of surgical technologist
• Certification from National Association of Surgical Technologist required
• CPR certification required (must obtain within 2 months of hire)
• One year experience in a main operating room within the last two years preferred
• Basic knowledge of scrub role
• Handling of instruments, set up, anticipates surgeons needs
• Knowledge of autoclaves
• Transporting patients
