About The Position
SCA Health is hiring a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for Newport Coast Surgical Institute. The role functions as a scrub person during operative and other invasive procedures, prepares and transports surgical instruments for processing, and helps clean and prepare procedure rooms between patients. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, graduation from an accredited Surgical Technologist Program, and at least one year of relevant experience in a hospital or surgery center. Current surgical technologist certification is preferred. Candidates must complete a BLS course within 90 days of employment or provide documentation of current BLS certification. The listed pay range is $40.00–$45.00 per hour.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Graduate of a recognized and accredited Surgical Technologist Program.
- Minimum of one year of experience as a Surgical Technician in a hospital or surgery center setting.
- Successfully complete a BLS course within 90 days of employment or provide documentation of current BLS certification.
Nice To Haves
- Current Surgical Technologist certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Function as a scrub person during operative and other invasive procedures.
- Clean and prepare surgical instruments for processing and transport them to decontamination areas.
- Assist with post-procedure cleaning of the operative or other invasive procedure room and prepare the room for subsequent patients.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
