About The Position

This fellowship is designed for individuals seeking to begin an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS) residency in July 2026-2027. The role involves developing and executing a research project, performing advanced OMFS procedures on patients at the College of Dentistry, assisting faculty in the operating room, and supervising the undergraduate oral surgery clinic.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited U.S. dental school with a DDS or DMD.
  • Successful completion of Parts I & II National Boards.
  • Ability to obtain/maintain a license to practice dentistry in the State of Nebraska.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and carry out one research project.
  • Perform advanced OMFS on College of Dentistry patients.
  • Assist faculty in the operating room.
  • Help supervise the undergraduate oral surgery clinic.
