Surgical Specialist PA/NP
About The Position
The Surgical Specialist PA/NP performs examinations, orders and interprets diagnostic and screening tests, arranges follow-up appointments, prescribes and orders medication as appropriate for patients’ medical conditions, and refers patients for further care when clinically appropriate. The position works under the supervision of an M.D. and is expected to deliver outstanding customer service in keeping with CarolinaEast’s Standards of Excellence. CarolinaEast Health System provides inpatient and outpatient services across the Coastal Carolina region. Its system includes a 350-bed medical center and physician practices across four counties, with more than 3,200 team members. Requirements
- Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant Education Program.
- Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant (NCCPA).
- Maintain current AHA BLS/ACLS certifications.
- Must work under the supervision of an M.D.
- A copy of the PA’s Scope of Service must be on file at CEP and CarolinaEast Health System.
- Deliver outstanding customer service that upholds CarolinaEast’s Standards of Excellence.
