About The Position

This is a full-time position at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in the Surgery Department. The role involves maintaining the cleanliness and organization of operating room suites, ensuring proper supply levels, and assisting with patient and equipment transport. The position requires adherence to hospital standards, professional communication, and teamwork. The schedule details will be determined after existing staff requests are satisfied.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• CPR certification must be obtained within three months of hire.
• Maintains positive working relationship with department managers, coordinators, staff, and physicians.
• Organizational skills, manages time wisely, productive during downtime.
• Ability to operate equipment such as operating room beds, hamper stands, linen chutes, etc.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to general hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment.
• Cleans operating room suites during turnover and performs daily terminal cleaning.
• Maintains clean hallways to ensure safe patient transport and performs general housekeeping.
• Transports patients and equipment to the operating room when needed.
• Assists with the transport, cleaning, and storage of equipment in operating room equipment storage areas.
• Ensures proper supply levels on gasses, linens, and cleaning supplies.
• Performs daily documentation of blanket warmer temperatures.
• Assists with equipment inventory.
• Maintains and cleans PPE carts.
