About The Position

This role is responsible for scheduling all surgical procedures, necessary equipment, and pre-op testing to ensure a smooth surgical course for the patient. The scheduler will coordinate patient scheduling with the surgeon's office, confirm bed availability for inpatient admissions, and proactively fill all daily surgical slots according to blocked scheduling requirements. This position requires interaction with physician offices and other departments to obtain necessary patient information and records for safe surgical procedures. The scheduler will also consult with other departments as needed to provide an interdisciplinary approach to patient care and will perform daily chart audits and assist with pre-op interview patient flow.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of similar experience required.
