About The Position
The Surgical Services Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for the pre-operative and phase 2 post-operative care of surgical patients. This role requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
Requirements
- Experience in pre-operative and phase 2 recovery nursing is essential.
- Proficiency in IV insertion, EPIC Optime, and perioperative nursing practices.
Nice To Haves
- 5 years of relevant nursing experience.
Responsibilities
- Verify consents and assess patients, including medication reviews.
- Provide appropriate care during the phase 2 recovery period.
- Maintain clear and accurate documentation in patient records.
- Assist with IV insertion and utilize EPIC Optime for reporting.
- Utilize various medical devices including bladder scanners, EKG machines, glucometers, and pneumatic devices.
