About The Position

MercyOne Dubuque is seeking a part-time LPN or RN for Surgical Services. This role involves promoting excellence in nursing practice and a thriving professional practice environment. MercyOne Dubuque is a leading hospital in the tri-states, recognized as a Magnet® hospital for nursing excellence, and offers a wide range of services including cardiology, a neonatal intensive care unit, and a cancer center.

Requirements

Must be a registered nurse and must hold an active license to practice nursing in the State of Iowa. (For RN)
The Licensed Practical Nurse must hold an active license to practice nursing in the state of Iowa. (For LPN)
Graduation from an approved program for practical nurses is required. (For LPN)
Child and Dependent Adult Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training is required within 6 months of hire and every 3 years thereafter.
Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) will be required within 30 days of hire and every 2 years thereafter.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred or within 4 years of hire. (For RN)
Certification by a nationally recognized nursing organization is preferred and strongly encouraged. (For RN)
The registered nurse continuously seeks opportunities to enhance his or her own professional nursing practice. Membership in an appropriate professional nursing organization is recommended. (For RN)
The Licensed Practical Nurse must maintain continuing education units per the state licensure requirements and continuously seek opportunities to enhance his or her own professional nursing practice. (For LPN)
Membership in an appropriate professional nursing organization is recommended. (For LPN)
