About The Position

This position is for a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) in the Surgical Services department at SMMC. The role involves working in a fast-paced environment with a variety of surgical cases, including General, Ortho, Ortho/Spine, Ortho/Total Joints, Urology, Endo/Laparoscopic, Vascular, Gyn, Abdominal hysterectomy, C-sections, Dilation & Curettage, Laparoscopic assisted gynecological procedures, and Vaginal Hysterectomy. The technologist will be required to scrub in on cases and will gain inpatient experience. The position requires flexibility with scheduling, including on-call duties and potential floating to the Outpatient Surgery Pavilion. Experience with the Da Vinci Xi system is a special requirement.

Requirements

MUST HAVE SPINE AND TOTAL JOINT EXPERIENCE
NBSTSA or NCCT is acceptable for national cert
Weekends required - may exceed every other to meet unit needs
ON-CALL RESPONSE TIME IS 30 MINS
