About The Position

This role involves orchestrating the surgical calendar to maximize operating room efficiency, ensuring that staff, equipment, and space are perfectly aligned for every procedure. The Surgical Scheduler will facilitate seamless communication between physician offices and the surgical department to capture critical patient needs and surgeon preferences. This role also safeguards the patient’s journey by managing accurate demographic and insurance data within the electronic record, preventing any financial or clinical delays to their care. The Surgical Scheduler must adapt quickly to emergency cases or unexpected schedule changes, skillfully rebalancing the calendar to minimize disruptions to patients and clinical teams.

Requirements

High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education OR experience, if applicable.
