Requirements

Minimum Education: Associates Degree
Course work in medical terminology is desirable.
Experience in Revenue Intergrity and or reconciling charges preferred.
Has demonstrated in past experience a positive customer service focus.
Minimum Experience: Six months experience in a healthcare setting.
Required Certification/Registration: (Certified or actively pursuing), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) certification, Certified Professional Coder certification (CPC), or Billing and Coding Specialist Certification (CBCA) to be completed within 12 months of hire
Ability to foster collaborative relationships, to work well under pressure, to organize and synthesize new information, and prioritize tasks.
Possesses critical thinking, analytical skills and flexibility.
Ability to multi-task.
Required detailed attention to work in an environment where interruptions cannot be controlled.
Demonstrates sensitivity to customer needs and expectations.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Performs various clerical tasks and clinical support to the Nursing Staff in a polite and courteous manner.
Assists patients/visitors with questions by referring them to the appropriate individual.
