About The Position

Optum WA, formerly The Everett Clinic, is seeking a Surgical Podiatrist (DPM) to join its established, physician-led multispecialty group in Everett, WA. Optum is a clinician-led care organization focused on changing how clinicians work and live. This role offers the opportunity to practice comprehensive outpatient podiatric medicine and surgery within an integrated health system that emphasizes evidence-based care, team collaboration, and sustainable practice. The position is suited for a podiatric surgeon who values clinical autonomy within a collaborative environment and is interested in managing a broad spectrum of foot and ankle pathology, including complex diabetic foot conditions, trauma, and reconstruction. As a member of the Optum Care Delivery team, the podiatrist will be an integral part of the vision to make healthcare better for everyone, supported by clinical resources, data, and a global organization. Requirements

  • Completion of a CPME approved residency in podiatric medicine and surgery; board certified or board eligible
  • Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) from an accredited program
  • Board eligible or board certified in foot and ankle surgery (ABFAS or equivalent)
  • Eligibility for unrestricted Washington State podiatric license by start date
  • DEA registration in Washington State or ability to obtain prior to start

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated experience or focused interest in foot and ankle surgery, diabetic limb salvage, or trauma
  • Experience practicing in a multispecialty or integrated delivery system
  • 5+ years of experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive outpatient evaluation, diagnosis, and longitudinal management of foot and ankle disorders.
  • Perform podiatric surgical procedures consistent with training and granted privileges, including forefoot, rearfoot, and ankle surgery.
  • Manage diabetic foot pathology, including ulcer care, infection management, post operative wound care, and limb preservation.
  • Evaluate and treat foot and ankle trauma, coordinating care with other specialty services as appropriate.
  • Deliver wound care and non operative treatments as part of an integrated treatment plan.
  • Collaborate within a multidisciplinary, physician led practice model, emphasizing care coordination and patient centered outcomes.
