The Surgical Pathology Technician role involves accessioning and storing surgical specimens, filing and storing pathology laboratory materials, substituting in the Autopsy Room as needed, and assisting with frozen section label preparation and other surgical pathology tasks.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's Degree in Science
- 1 year experience as a Surgical Pathology Technician
Responsibilities
- Accessions and stores surgical specimens
- Files and stores all materials related to pathology laboratory
- Substitutes as needed in the Autopsy Room
- Aids and assists in the preparation of labels on frozen section material and in other tasks related to surgical pathology
