Surgical Oncology Physician
About The Position
Join the Comprehensive Cancer Center at Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs, California, as an employed Surgical Oncologist. This role offers the chance to build a thriving practice within a growing surgical oncology program supported by strong multidisciplinary cancer care. You will work alongside experienced oncology specialists and enjoy an exceptional quality of life. The position is located on the hospital campus, providing convenient access to resources. Responsibilities include a balanced 50/50 split between outpatient clinic and procedural/operative duties, with a dedicated focus on surgical oncology patients. You will manage your own patients for call responsibilities and have the opportunity to mentor general surgery residents. Residents and fellows are encouraged to apply. The ideal start date is approximately 90 days after signing an agreement.
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Board Certified in General Surgery or Surgical Oncology, or Board Eligible if newly trained.
- Fellowship training in Surgical Oncology required.
- Eligible for California medical licensure.
- Strong commitment to multidisciplinary cancer care.
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
